About the Author
Kathleen S. Verderber (PhD, University of Cincinnati) is Associate Professor of Management Emeritus at Northern Kentucky University. She holds an MA in Speech Communication as well as an MBA and a PhD in organizational behavior from the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Verderber has consulted with various civic, professional, and business organizations. She has published numerous articles in several journals and has presented papers at communication and management conferences. She is a coauthor of COMMUNICATE! THE CHALLENGE OF EFFECTIVE SPEAKING IN A DIGITAL AGE, COMM, and SPEAK all with Cengage Learning, and author of INTER-ACT: INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION, CONCEPTS, SKILLS, AND CONTEXTS with Oxford University Press.

Amazing textbook

The textbook is nicely organized and offers just enough information to illustrate points without being redundant. I wish I had discovered this textbook years ago. Aside from being required for class, I have gained so much insight into communication skills. I rented the textbook from Amazon, and their service was superb as always. They offer generous rental times, and if codes or extra access materials aren't needed for the class, I recommend using their rental service.

Good book. Paperback and in New condition. Be careful when opening the binding. I feel the glue may give way and the pages may fall out over multiple use. I use this multiple times a week and no pages have gave way yet.
