A great book to stimulate your brain and soul.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. A great resource for young people entering the corporate world to successfully navigate through the complexity of the digital world at work and in their personal lives. For older readers, the author maps out a simple path to achieve inner peace while dealing with today's fast changing technology. The author has used his own corporate and personal experience coupled with exhaustive research to bring simple steps to manage their work and personal lives. The book is full of numerous references to great thinkers of the last century. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is seeking inner peace.

A very thought-provoking and interesting read for the open-minded

In his freshman attempt, Kshatri's take on a "life manual" is a success in this reader's judgment. In an engaging and conversational manner, he manages to succinctly cover the gamut of challenges we face in modern society and offer cogent solutions that the individual can put into practice immediately. Among the more notable pearls of wisdom that resonated for this reader were (paraphrasing):

* Determine your values and the guiding principles that undergird them.

* Understand how your values and experiences color your perception of events and ideas.

* Become aware of your biases and consciously work to keep them from distorting your perception of reality.

* Use technology to more effectively seek and distill new trustworthy sources of information and facts. Make sure that the information and facts are corroborated by multiple, ideologically-diverse sources.

* Use new facts and information to constantly challenge/re-evaluate your values, opinions, and perceptions. Don't live in an "echo chamber."

* Use the same time-tested tools and approaches that have been used effectively in business in your personal life.

* Live in the moment. Find a way to clear your mind -- particularly of concerns about the past or future.

* Don't be reckless but do engage in goal-oriented, calculated risk-taking.

* Realize and practice the power of positive-thinking.

* Acknowledge that we are all interconnected. Approach every interaction with compassion, understanding, forgiveness, and love.

Terrific book on Information Resources Management

Jay Kshatri's book is a fine introduction and guide to cope and make the most of the digital age we live in. The author’s fluid writing style make this book an easy read. He makes new and innovative concepts simple to grasp and digest. This book can be a wonderful resource to anyone looking for optimal ways as to how to better manage the over-abundance and exponential growth of information we are all being bombarded with, and provides the reader many ways to synthesize and filter this information to suit their own specific requirements, which I believe would make them better informed, and more productive in whatever endeavor they may be pursuing.

Capture me!

This book was a Hot, quick read. It had many funny moments too!

Lili was a strong stubborn woman and Cade and his wolves were not prepared for her nature! Cade was used to people doing what he said without question. Lili was a surprise even before he found out that they grabbed the wrong woman!

Unfortunately, all of his scheming gets him into trouble with Lili. Watching Cade squirm and try to figure out how to fix his mistakes was great.

I Loved this book! If you like steamy werewolf books, you must give this one a try.

Muy caliente! Milly Taiden doesn't disappoint. Scorching hot novella with a bite and a lot of sass

Liliana Rojas' stubborn streak is about to bite her in the rear. Her cousin Jaylin just had to be different by insisting on having a winter wonderland wedding out in the middle of nowhere. And so Lili finds herself in her car rushing to make it there on time. If she hadn't been fiddling with her radio, she would have noticed the man standing in the middle of the road. When she goes to check on the stranger, she witnesses something she's only seen in horror movies.

Cade Wynter is in the mood for a little pay back. Five years ago, his ex-fiancee claimed to have been having an affair with his best friend. When he hears that his best friend is about to get married, he hatches a plan to kidnap the bride. One look at Lili, one touch, one kiss, and Cade knows he has found his mate. The attraction between them is fast and furious, but when he discovers that he has made a huge mistake, he stands to lose her before he really had her. As if that weren't enough of a problem, he also has to deal with his brother Cyrus. Cyrus will stop at nothing to hurt Cade in order to take over the pack, and that includes going through Lili.

I got my first taste of Milly Taiden's writing, dealing with wolf shifters, in her short story, Mate Event in the Halloween Heat III Anthology. I love that when her wolves shifters mate, they like to bite ;) This story was no different. I found the push and pull of their attraction and their dialogues highly amusing.

Lili is full of spirit and sass, and I loved every minute of her mouthing off to Cade. She doesn't take well to being bossed around, and she isn't afraid to put him in his place.On the flip side, I loved Cade being struck dumb that she would dare talk back to him. He's used to getting his way, not only as the pack leader, but also as a male. When Lili doesn't cower to him, she just intrigues him more with each passing minute.

If you love short, scorching hot wolf shifter loving with some bite, one tough heroine and a sexy alpha male, then you won't want to miss this.

Richard L. Nostrand is David Ross Boyd Professor of Geography at the University of Oklahoma. An excellent resource on the New Mexico "Hispano"

An excellent resource on the New Mexico "Hispano". My parents immigrated from Spain in the early 1900's and settled in Vacaville, California, a town in Northern California founded by a New Mexico "Hispano", Juan Manuel Baca that is covered in Nostrand's book. I have spent some time in Trinidad, Colorado, and met several "Hispanos" and discovered that it was easy to relate to the locals, as if we had something in common. It makes me wonder if their was any connection between the Spanish Immigrants who settled in Vacaville in the early 1900's with the New Mexico "Hispanos". Probably not, but it's an interesting theory.

Reviewer: A reader from Southern Colorado - Northern New Mexico. An excellent aid for those of us researching our family roots in New Mexico. This book does much to explain and date the migration of our Hispanic/Indian ancestors in and from the Rio Grande Valley during the past 400 years.

Excellent depiction of the Hispano subculture

In this book Nostrand describes the cultural geography and history of the "Hispano homeland" -- a region in northern New Mexico and southern Colorado with a distinct and interesting history and culture. He also traces the connections between this region and outside influences, from the early Spanish settlers, to the Pueblo Indians and Anglos, to relations with other Mexican Americans in the U.S. today. This book is useful in understanding borderland influences further away from the more often represented U.S./Mexico border. Covering over 400 years of history, it shows how border influences change and last through time. It's well written, extremely thorough with good maps tracing "intrusions" of other cultures into the region, and good tabular information, too. I found this book invaluable for my own work in northern New Mexico, but this book may also be useful for those interested in rural development, community studies, and sense of place, as Nostrand articulates well what the Hispano Homeland means to the people who live there and why it becomes necessary for some to leave. It is a good complement to Carlos Velez-Ibanez' Border Visions, which is less geographically based and focuses more on cultural place closer to the U.S. - Mexico border.

Revelations from the Stars

Carol Allen's writing is straightforward, poignant, and concise -- yet thorough. Her depiction of compatibility delves deeper than just the surface aspects of having the same interests, desires, and attraction. It's not enough to be committed to each other, she says. There has to be a commitment to the idea of a "long-term relationship." There has to be an acknowledgment of the value of the relationship to ensure that the relationship doesn't age, to have fun, to give time for connection and intimacy. However, it is important to note that these attributes need to occur naturally and spontaneously. In addition, being compatible is not enough. It has to be the right timing, the couple needs to have good relationship skills and are ready for a relationship, as well. Carol mentioned the 5 critical keys to a lasting relationship, which you can learn more from her e-book, Love is in the Stars, or by signing up for her newsletters.

Carol's stance on the idea that our actions are sometimes driven by our yearning to feel loved and appreciated has some truth to it. She stated that this need is second to the necessity of survival. For instance, having success is great, but if we are not acknowledged, appreciated, praised, and are able to share this success with those close and important to us, the success means very little to nothing.

Moreover, I appreciate the fact that Carol gave an overview of the differences between the Tropical and Sidereal zodiacs and their origins. This is helpful to those who are not too familiar with the two zodiacs. It was interesting to learn that my signs for the ancient Hindu system were different from the Tropical zodiac. However, as Carol commented, I could relate to the different signs in the Western and Eastern zodiacs. After learning more about my true signs in Vedic Astrology, I had a better understanding of my personality. I like Carol's approach to her book. It's as if you're the only one she's speaking to...as if she's your close female friend looking out for your best interest and you can relate to her because she has gone through the things you have. She has a great sense of humor -- I couldn't help but laugh when she mentioned there was a "planet of KINKINESS" in chapter 6. In the conclusion, she shares about the Cycles of Saturn report, which I purchased a while back and it has been helpful for me to accept and understand my situations in life and to be able to move forward. Overall, this was an insightful read.

Carol Allen is the real deal

I thought this would be a fun, juicy read for star-struck Anglophiles (OK, me) when it was time to put down all the must-do, have-to reads. I was right. And I was wrong. It is fun, and Carol's style is friendly and readable. But there's a bit more to it than that.

If you were to crack open a book on Vedic astrology, and I have, you might be hit with calculations that make your head spin, or at least make you want to close the book. Carol has digested the information, combined it with modern relationship insights and translated it for the rest of us.

I enjoyed the peeks into the royal couples' inner workings, but I also got a taste of how to look at relationships through the wisdom of Vedic astrology, which predates the modern western astrology that most of us are familiar with.

The best take-away was the objectivity with which the author looks at relationships. She talks about what to look for (and look out for) in various pairings and stresses that whether a relationship is viable, or whether you've even had a successful one, is not really anyone's fault. It's a nice introduction to a different process of understanding unions.

Good, but could be a little better

I thought it was a very interesting read, and I liked seeing how the various couples fit or didn't fit together. It seems quite appropriate given who she's dealing with. However, (a) as someone else said, a lot of this is ads (considering how most folks who bought this are already on the mailing list, it's kind of preaching to the choir), and (b) I would have preferred to see a bit less ads and a bit more explaining of how she came to the conclusions that she did. I am interested in trying to understand Vedic astrology, but sometimes it was kind of vague as to what meant what. I guess I would have just liked to have been able to understand for myself better.
